My PC had been running slow for quite a while – 3 or 4 months. It is well used – I have 2 kids who the internet and upload photos from phones to HDD , also videos etc. Eventually it stopped – I couldn’t boot up. I tried booting in safe mode and normal mode but all I got was a blank blue screen. I took the HDD to a computer shop and was told it would not work – they are trying to do some data transfer so I don’t lose all my photo’s and work stuff on my HDD.

My PC is an asus and was bought as a bare bones package when I lived in Finland, 5 years ago. In reply to rickymaurice’s post on December 23, Consider purchasing an external hard drive, too.
